About Lil’ Lighthouse Preschool

Thank you for your interest in our preschool program here at Point View Baptist Church. Here is the basic information on our program.

Similar to a Mother’s Day Out program, we run concurrent with the school year and our school is two days a week. Each Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. we open our doors to children ages 12 months to 5 years old to teach them about the Lord as well as prepare them for school.

Our program includes biblical lessons focused on teaching the kids not only who Jesus is but the character traits that we want to model after Him.
Our academic teaching is more than just your basic ABC’s and 123’s. Using various tools, we teach and equip the children with the things they will need to know when starting Kindergarten. More often than not, our kids enter Kindergarten advanced beyond what is expected of them. Teaching them to not only recognize letters but to write them, know their sounds and even read small words based on sounding them out and recognizing the letters and how they sound together. In addition, children learn to sit in an organized classroom type setting to do work as a group and learning to take instruction and follow through.

In addition to teaching, there is plenty of fun! With crafts, a separate music time for each class, center play and plenty of outside or gym play, the kids will quickly make friends and enjoy their time here.

Lil’ Lighthouse was started in 2001 with about 20 kids and we are now blessed with 50 plus kids each year. God has truly been good to us and we give Him all the glory for such a wonderful program.

This is a program in which there is a reasonable payment required. We do not accept drop-ins. Enrollment is on a space-availability basis.
