Songs in the Night: Finding Joy in the Prison

Mar 15, 2026    Pastor Tim Brewer

In this sermon, Pastor Tim Brewer explores the story of Paul and Silas praising God while imprisoned, reminding us that even in our darkest moments, God is still at work. Despite being beaten, chained, and thrown into the inner prison, Paul and Silas chose to pray and sing praises at midnight. Their faith became a testimony to everyone around them, and God responded with a miraculous earthquake that opened the prison doors and loosened their chains.

Pastor Tim walks through how this moment led to the salvation of the Philippian jailer, who asked the life-changing question: “What must I do to be saved?” The answer remains the same today: “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” This message encourages believers to trust God during seasons of suffering, knowing that our faith and testimony in difficult times can become the very thing God uses to bring others to Him.

Be encouraged as Pastor Tim reminds us that God can use our prison moments to open doors for others to find Christ.
